Anti-Semitism: France is waging an “unambiguous fight,” assures Minister Aurore Bergé

"The French government's fight against anti-Semitism is unambiguous ," she said on Europe 1-CNews. "The issue is too serious. It is too important, in my opinion, to be taken to task in diplomatic matters."
US Ambassador to France Charles Kushner will be summoned to the Foreign Ministry on Monday after criticism that angered Paris over President Emmanuel Macron's "lack of sufficient action" against anti-Semitism.
In a letter to the head of state obtained on Sunday, the ambassador expressed "his deep concern about the surge in anti-Semitism in France and the lack of sufficient action by (his) government to combat it," echoing criticism from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. In response to this criticism, Aurore Bergé insisted on Monday on her "lucid" attitude towards the reality of anti-Semitism.
"Every day, there are reports of anti-Semitic acts, and this summer in particular, I think we've reached levels that are absolutely intolerable, as if we're getting used to the idea that there could be a form of atmospheric anti-Semitism," she said. "Because here, we're banning holidaymakers from entering a place because they're Israeli, because there, we're excluding young French people from a commercial flight...", she illustrated, while the manager of a leisure park has just been indicted for refusing access to his site to a group of 150 young Israelis .
